Bonding jumper water heater. Slow down corrosion of the water heater. When in use the bonding wire can serve two purposes. Product can be used with residential water heaters. Most electricians automatically bond the cold water line but do not ensure that the cold and the hot water lines are metallically interconnected through mixing valves in the plumbing fixtures. Some local codes require a unique fitting on water heaters connected with copper pipes known as a bonding wire. Brass ground clamps included. The bonding wire can redirect a small electrical current that passes through the copper piping to the steel fittings of the water heater. Kit includes two brass ground clamps and copper conductor.
